Linus Pauling Day 2021

The state of Oregon has declared February 28th as Linus Pauling Day in honor of the late scientist, Dr. Linus Pauling. Today on Health & Longevity, Dr. John Westerdahl’s special guest is Dr. Emily Ho, PhD, the Director of the Linus Pauling Institute at Oregon State University. The institute is named after two time Nobel Prize winner, Dr. Linus Pauling, one of the world’s greatest scientists and humanitarians. Dr. Emily Ho discusses the institute’s research and mission, and the role of nutrition and dietary supplementation in achieving optimal health. She also discusses the institute’s Healthy Aging Program. This program is dedicated to the life and work of Dr. Linus Pauling and features audio excerpts of Dr. Pauling discussing his concepts of science and health. Dr. Westerdahl formerly worked as an assistant nutritionist to Dr. Pauling at the Linus Pauling Institute of Science and Medicine when is was located by Stanford University in California before moving to Oregon State University.
